How to become a Claude partner and move up the tiers

To become a Claude partner, your company applies to the Claude Partner Network, Anthropic's partner program, at claude.com/partners. Anthropic's application asks for a registered business with 10 or more employees, operating in a supported region, that offers consulting, implementation or managed services to customers. Membership is free. New members start at Registered and move up to Certified, Select and Preferred as they add certified people, customers running Claude in production and public customer stories.

What is the Claude Partner Network?

The Claude Partner Network is Anthropic's program for companies that help enterprises put Claude into production. Anthropic launched it on 12 March 2026 with an initial US$100 million for partner training, technical support and joint market development in 2026. Members get the Partner Portal and Anthropic Partner Academy, where their people take Claude certification exams. On 2 October 2026, Anthropic's Global Head of Partner Experience said more than 150,000 consultants hold a Claude certification.

Who can join the Claude Partner Network?

Anthropic's partner application says your company should:

  • be a registered business with 10 or more employees
  • operate in a supported region
  • offer consulting, implementation or managed services to customers

Meeting these criteria does not guarantee acceptance; Anthropic decides. Companies building a product on Claude, rather than delivering services, are pointed to the Claude API instead. Individuals cannot join on their own; see the Claude Partner Network for individuals.

How do I join the Claude Partner Network?

You join the Claude Partner Network by applying as a company at claude.com/partners.

  1. Check that your company meets the application criteria above.
  2. Apply at claude.com/partners.
  3. If accepted, start at Registered, with a commitment to 10 certified practitioners.
  4. Check that the company email domain is already linked to your partner record. If a domain must be added or linked, Anthropic says the record change takes 7 to 10 days. Check before anyone books an exam.
  5. Certify your people through Anthropic Partner Academy.
  6. Track your standing in the Claude Partner Hub, which Anthropic refreshes daily.

How much does it cost to join the Claude Partner Network?

Joining the Claude Partner Network is free. Standard exam fees before eligible partner discounts are US$99 to US$175 per exam. Registered-tier partners pay the full exam price. Select, Preferred and Global Premier partners get 50% off, applied automatically at checkout, and the discount also applies to retakes. Through 31 December 2026, Global Premier partners receive 100% off; after that, their standard 50% discount applies.

What are the Claude Partner Network tiers and requirements?

The Claude Partner Network starts at Registered, then recognises firms at Certified, Select and Preferred as their certified team and customer work grow.

LevelCertified peopleJoint customers running Claude in productionPublic customer stories
RegisteredCommitment to 10 certified practitionersNo threshold stated in the June announcementNo threshold stated in the June announcement
Certified3 or more people with an Architect or Developer certificationNot requiredNot required
Select10 or more active certified individuals2 or more in the last 12 months1 or more
Preferred100 or more active certified individuals15 or more3 or more

An active certified individual holds a current Anthropic certification and has used Claude in the past 90 days. Global Premier has higher certification, deployment and customer-story requirements, plus a joint business plan with named executive sponsors. From November 2026, Anthropic promotes firms to Certified and Select at least every month. Preferred promotions follow the published review dates of 1 January and 1 July.

Which certifications count toward your Claude partner tier?

Three Claude certifications count toward Claude Partner Network tiers: Claude Certified Developer – Foundations, Claude Certified Architect – Foundations and Claude Certified Architect – Professional. Claude Certified Associate does not count. Anthropic counts people, not certificates, so one person with two certifications counts once. Use a company email domain recognised on your organisation's partner record when registering. The credential belongs to the person. When a certified person changes organisations, ask Anthropic partner support to confirm the receiving firm's credit and any record changes needed. If your team's certifications are missing, see why Claude certifications are not showing in your partner account.

How to reach Certified

Your firm reaches Certified once three or more of its people hold an Architect or Developer certification. See how to reach Certified in the Claude Partner Network.

How to move from Registered or Certified to Select

Select needs 10 active certified individuals, 2 customers running Claude in production in the last 12 months and 1 public customer story. See how to reach Select tier.

How to move from Select to Preferred

Preferred needs 100 active certified individuals, 15 customers in production and 3 public customer stories. See how to move from Select to Preferred.

How do you find more certified people for your firm?

Firms add certified people by certifying their own staff, hiring people who already hold an eligible certification, or considering consultants for client work, after Anthropic confirms in writing whether they count toward the firm's standing. See how to find certified consultants for your Claude partner tier.

Build your certified Claude team with Timo

Timo is run by Amotion AI, a registered member of the Claude Partner Network. Timo helps partner firms in three ways:

  • Prepare your existing team for the Developer and Architect exams with original practice exams and study guides.
  • Recruit candidates who will prepare for the exams that count toward your tier.
  • Introduce consultants who already hold an eligible certification for real client work.

Certification belongs to the person who earns it, and Anthropic decides how certifications credit to each firm. Confirm in writing with Anthropic how consultants count toward your standing before you plan around consultant numbers. As of 7 October 2026, Anthropic has awarded more than 80 Claude certifications to people who registered through Timo.
