You cannot register with a personal email address. Anthropic requires candidates to work at a Claude Partner Network organisation and to sign up with a work email on a recognised company domain. Personal addresses are rejected at sign-up, and public self-service registration has not opened as of 28 July 2026.
That leaves three routes: get your employer into the Partner Network, wait for public registration, or go through a partner that provides training and an exam seat.
What this is. Timo Platform membership, subject to profile approval and provider eligibility and availability.
What this is not. Not Anthropic selling you a seat, and not a personal-email registration. Anthropic's published exam fee applies when you book the exam.
How to get Claude certified without a partner company
You have three options. Pick the one that matches your timeline and budget.
Option one: your employer joins the Partner Network. If your company already sells, deploys or builds on Claude, someone inside the business can apply to join the Claude Partner Network. Once accepted, the company domain is recognised and employees can register with their work email. This route is free to you apart from the exam fee, but it depends on your employer's timeline. The application review can take months.
Option two: Timo Labs runs an application-based assessment program. Amotion AI is a member of the Claude Partner Network. Timo Platform membership costs US$50 for two months of access. Membership includes custom-built Timo assessments, practical tests and badges, Claude and OpenAI practitioner tracks, mock exams, Claude Certification, OpenAI badges, profile and enterprise project features as they become available. Submit your profile for a quick review; once approved, you will receive a payment link by email to complete enrollment and receive onboarding details, including the stated access dates and any disclosed portal launch delay. You sit the official Claude exam, which you book at Anthropic's published fee. Exam eligibility, access and timing remain subject to Anthropic's terms and availability.
Option three: wait for public registration. Anthropic has not opened the exams to self-service personal-email registration. Most certification programmes eventually do, and Anthropic has not said it will not. If nobody has asked you for the credential yet, waiting costs nothing. There is no announced date.
Eligible candidates who obtain provider access take the same official exam through the same exam partner. Credentials are awarded and retained under provider terms. The credential is Anthropic's either way. Whether you get there through your employer, through Timo or through a public registration page that does not exist yet, the exam and the badge are identical.
What the gate actually is
Anthropic launched the Claude Certification Program on 12 March 2026 alongside the Claude Partner Network, and committed an initial $100 million to that network for 2026. Anthropic's exam partner began delivering the exams on 30 June 2026.
Registration runs under a member organisation's Claude Partner Network access; Anthropic decides the result. Two checks stand between you and the exam:
- Your employer has to be a member of the Claude Partner Network.
- Your sign-up email has to sit on that employer's recognised company domain.
A Gmail, Outlook or iCloud address fails the second check on its own. Customers of Anthropic who are not partners fail the first. This catches most individual candidates, including freelancers, contractors, people between jobs and engineers at companies that use Claude heavily but never joined the network.
Route one: get your employer into the Partner Network
This works well if you already sell, build or deliver Claude work commercially and someone senior will sponsor the application. It is the cheapest route because partner members received free exam vouchers during the first wave.
It is also the slowest. Anthropic reviews partner applications, and the process runs on your employer's timetable. If nobody at your company has raised it yet, assume months.
Route two: wait for public registration
Anthropic has not announced a date for opening the exams to the general public. Most certification programmes open up eventually, and this one probably will. Nobody outside Anthropic knows when.
Waiting costs nothing and gets you nothing in the meantime. It is a reasonable choice if nobody has asked you for the credential yet.
Route three: go through a partner that offers assessment and deployment
Some Claude Partner Network members run application-based assessment programs for individuals. Eligible candidates with provider access take the official exam through Anthropic's exam partner. Anthropic controls admission and credential decisions.
This is the route Timo Labs offers. Amotion AI holds the membership. Timo Platform membership costs US$50 for two months and includes Timo assessments, practical tests, badges and mock exams, Claude and OpenAI practitioner tracks, and profile and enterprise project features as they become available. Eligible members may book and pay for provider exams separately when access is available. Projects require a separate agreement directly with the client and are not guaranteed.
Check three things before you pay anyone for this, us included: that they name the certification codes, that they state who issues the credential, and that they tell you what happens if you fail.
Anthropic sets no experience prerequisite for any of the four exams, so who can take the exam comes down to registration alone.
What each route costs
| Route | Cost to you | Time to a seat | Works if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Employer joins the network | $0 to $175 in Anthropic exam fees | Months, and outside your control | Your company sells or delivers Claude work |
| Wait for public registration | Unknown | No announced date | You do not need the credential yet |
| Get assessment through a partner | US$50 for two months of Timo membership; provider exam fees are separate | Subject to provider eligibility and availability | You want the credential this quarter |

Deployment and ongoing support
Members may choose profile visibility when profile features are activated and be considered for available enterprise projects. Any engagement is agreed directly with the client under a separate contract; no match or project is guaranteed.
The exam itself does not change
Whichever route you take, the exam is identical. Four tracks, all 120 minutes, all needing a scaled score of 720 out of 1,000, all valid for 12 months, subject to Anthropic's terms and any suspension or revocation.
| Code | Certification | Items | Time | Anthropic's fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CCAO-F | Claude Certified Associate, Foundations | 60 | 120 min | $99 |

| CCAR-P | Claude Certified Architect, Professional | 63 | 120 min | $175 |
Retakes follow Anthropic's schedule: 14 days after a first failure, 30 after a second, 90 after a third, with a maximum of four attempts per exam in a rolling 12 months. A retake costs the exam fee again.
Once you pass, the credential stays valid for 12 months, subject to Anthropic's terms and any suspension or revocation. Renewing on time costs nothing under Anthropic's renewal terms.

Common questions
Can I take a Claude certification if my employer is not an Anthropic partner?
Yes, if a Claude Partner Network member provisions an eligible company-domain account for you. Timo Labs uses an individual Amotion-domain account for this service.
Who owns and administers the account?
Amotion AI controls the assigned address. It may be used only on services expressly authorized by Timo. Do not share access or verification codes or use the address for other services. Misuse may result in suspension or withdrawal without refund, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Which name should I use?
Use your full legal name exactly as it appears on the government-issued photo ID you will present to Anthropic's exam partner.
What support does Timo provide?
Timo Platform membership costs US$50 for two months and includes Timo assessments, practical tests, badges and mock exams, Claude and OpenAI practitioner tracks, and profile and enterprise project features as they become available. Contact support with any question.
Can I use the account for normal email or other work?
No. The account is issued for certification preparation, registration and related support only.
Can I use my personal email to register?
No. Registration requires a work email on a Claude Partner Network company's domain, and personal addresses are rejected at sign-up. An individual who is not at a partner company registers through a partner-provisioned account.
Is this a legitimate way to get certified?
Amotion AI is a member of the Claude Partner Network. Timo Platform membership is backed by this membership. The exam is Anthropic's official exam, delivered by Anthropic's exam partner, and Credly issues the badge. Anthropic's published exam fee applies when you book the exam.
