Partner Academy shows the message "You aren't signed in with a partner company employee email" and you cannot register for an exam. Paying for Claude Pro, Max or Team does not change this. Those plans are for using Claude. Exam registration checks your email domain against Claude Partner Network records.
Is my Claude account the same as my Partner Academy account?
No. Your Claude account, and any account on Anthropic's free Claude Academy, are separate from Partner Academy. Public Claude Academy courses can award completion badges. These are not Claude certifications.
What email do I need for the Claude certification exam?
An email on your company's own domain, where your company is a Claude Partner Network member and that domain is linked to its partner record. First check that you used your partner-company email rather than a personal address. If the error remains, contact partner-support@anthropic.com. If a domain must be added or linked, Anthropic says the record change takes 7 to 10 days.

How to get a partner email if you don't have a work email
If your employer is not a Claude partner, or you are a freelancer or between jobs, you can apply through Timo. Timo is run by Amotion AI, a registered member of the Claude Partner Network.
- Apply to Timo and share your professional profile for review.
- If accepted, sign the freelance consulting agreement with Amotion AI.
- Amotion AI gives you your own email address on its partner domain, for approved learning and certification services.
- Register and pay Anthropic's exam fee in Partner Academy with that account and your legal name.
Claude exam fees are paid separately to Anthropic when you book an exam. Joining Timo does not guarantee certification, a project or income.

Can I keep my certification on a personal email later?
Yes. Your certification is yours. Anthropic says certifications transfer when you change email address or organisation. Add a personal email to your Credly profile so you keep access to your badge wherever you work.

No. Partner Academy accepts only an email on a Claude partner company's domain. Personal addresses such as Gmail or Outlook do not work.
