What these scores mean for exam preparation
These practice percentages describe performance on Timo samples. They are not Anthropic's scaled exam scores. Anthropic's passing score of 720 on a 100 to 1,000 scale cannot be converted into a required practice percentage.
For example, the 40% of completed attempts that scored at least 72% is a description of this sample, not an estimated official pass rate. The results also do not establish that one official Claude exam is harder than another. Different people may choose each sample and prepare for different lengths of time.
Use a practice result to identify questions you need to review. Check why an answer is correct and revisit the relevant study topics before trying again.
How the data was collected
Timo used anonymous, aggregated PostHog analytics for recorded production practice attempts on timolabs.dev. The reporting window runs from 22 September 2026 at 00:00 to 9 October 2026 at 00:00, Asia/Dubai, with the end time excluded.
Starts and completions are recorded separately by their event time. They are not a matched group, so the totals do not establish a completion rate. Repeat attempts can contribute more than once. Averages and the 72% threshold measure completed attempts; country completion counts use the same completed-attempt cohort. The country total of 76 is measured from starts.
Every sample contains 20 questions. The data does not include results from Anthropic's official certification exams. Analytics-based location is not proof of nationality or residence. The tables publish aggregate counts and scores only, with no individual records.
Production traffic can include staff activity. Analytics may miss attempts when tracking is blocked or an event is not recorded.
This is a snapshot checked on 9 October 2026. It is not a representative survey of all Claude certification candidates.
